It’s prime holiday baking time, which means you’re probably busy making yummy things for the humans in your life. Don’t forget about the dogs! These three simple recipes will ensure they get a treat, too, and ensure you have leftover time this holiday season, when every minute counts.

#1 Applesauce and Oatmeal Dog Treats

This recipe comes from Rover.

Ingredients
2 cups whole wheat flour
2 cups rolled oat flour
2 eggs
2 tbsp melted coconut oil
1 cup unsweetened applesauce

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°
Combine all ingredients in food processor or stand mixer. Add flour as necessary until dough is no longer sticky and is ready to roll out.
Keep dough covered to prevent drying between batches. You can rehydrate dough with a little coconut oil as needed.

#2 Christmas Cookie Dog Treats

This recipe comes from BarkPost.

Ingredients & Materials

2 cups flour (whole wheat or unbleached is best)
1 tbsp baking powder
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup nonfat plain Greek yogurt
Water as needed
Various cookie cutters

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°
Combine all ingredients until a soft dough is formed. Add a small amount of water if the dough is too dry.
Roll out the dough on some parchment paper and cut out using the cookie cutters.
Place on a lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake for 15-18 minutes.
Allow the cookie to cool before serving! Store in airtight container.

#3 Super Simple Sweet Potato Dog Treats

This recipe comes from AllRecipes.

Ingredients

1 sweet potato
¼ cup unsweetened applesauce
2½ cups whole wheat flour
2 eggs

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°.
Prick sweet potato several times with a fork.
Heat sweet potato in a microwave on high until tender, about 6 minutes. Cut potato in half and scoop flesh out of the skin into a bowl; discard skin. Mash potato with a fork or potato masher and transfer about 1 cup to a large bowl. Save any remaining sweet potato for another use.
Mix whole wheat flour, applesauce and eggs with the sweet potato until a dough forms. Turn dough onto a well-floured surface and roll to about ½ inch thick. Cut out shapes using a cookie cutter or cut dough into strips with a pizza cutter. Arrange cookies on an ungreased baking sheet.
Bake until crisp, 35 to 45 minutes. Cool in pan for 10 minutes before removing to cool completely on a wire rack.
